Benidorm or bust.

Cleaned the van and loaded van and trailer, just got to put Alpicool fridge freezer on tomorrow morning and away for 8 weeks in Benidorm, stopping on C&CC site in Canterbury tomorrow night and early to the Dover ferry Friday morning and then into France and hopefully other side of Rouen before nightfall. Then we should be in Benidorm for Monday.

Why the hell not? It sounds like a laugh to me with hopefully some nice weather. I've not been but I would give it a go. I gather Spain in the winter is high season for motorhomes and will be stacked with them. I would imagine there is lots to see, do and get involved with.

I have only been to Benidorm once and I loved it. You will enjoy it, quite green with envy.

Spain is full of the above . Benidorm , for me , not so much .
Went once out of curiosity , drove in to a couple of the sites where you can stay for weeks for very little dosh .
I'd rather go to jail

That's exactly thde point!, now some 10 years of wintering in southern europe, get away from motorhome hell, head inland to the real Spain

I've never been to Benidorm but a friend of mine goes regularly and is always trying to get me to go out there.

He told me that he could take me to parts of Benidorm that I would absolutely love even though he appreciated that I would hate other parts.

Motorhoming for me is only "hell" if you end up staying somewhere bloody awful. As long as I have somewhere half decent to park up for a while, preferably somewhere fantastic I'm happy. If the place itself is not up to much or I'm not enjoying it then I'll go somewhere else. A prime example this year was mid summer around Briancon area in the southern French Alps. Two of the Aires we found were grim. I hated them. Campsites were crap and crammed as well. I would have stayed longer at both had we found somewhere decent to stay. In the end about 40 miles south we did and had a cracking time. There must be somewhere half decent to stay in Benidorm and I am pretty sure John said elsewhere he's booked onto a site. That said I have seen photos of motorhomes crammed onto wasteland in Spain. That wouldn't appeal to me but I could handle a few weeks there on a site. How bad could it be? I'm guessing they will all be adults so not many feral kids running about.

Beauty of a motorhome. Mix it up as you wish.
Few nights in a party town, then out into the sticks.
Could certainly deal with a few night in Benidorm.

A few years back we were in Spain and saw a road sign "Benidorm 20km".
We had never been so we decided to spend one night there ............. just because we could.

Four weeks later we left Benidorm !

We have returned many times.
