Personal milestones, this year, not in any particular order :- We've been married for 60 years, now owned and used campervans/motorhomes for 45 years, Fitted solar for the first time, in all those years without it, Owned the current van for 20 years, from new ( Only had 3 vans during those 45 yrs )

What excellent milestones, congratulations and one could draw the conclusion that motor homing is good for marriage- I take it you travel together?!!
My milestones are less impressive; 50 years married this year and 12 years camper vanning. And no we don't travel together!! He prefers the sofa and tv,.....ah well we all different.

My wife likes to get out sometimes too.

On reaching 70 I always wanted to be able to go for a jog, well I still do albeit reduced to 5k every three days. I want to tour round the whole of Ireland and hope to do so next year. I want to stay as fit and healthy as long as I can, but not go overboard on things that might extend my life by a few weeks.
But before I go I want to see us treated better by our politicians, media, and the general public. I hope I live long enough to see things improve on that front, and being an optimist I think to some extent we will.

Sold business 26 years ago.
Told to go somewhere with a pleasant climate, Brit- friendly, then come home to pull down pensions. Where we planned to settle was later devastated by pit closures and flooding.

Bought a motorhome after too little research; destination Portugal.
Had almost 20 years , full-time in 3 vans.
Over- wintering on The Algarve.
Bought a rustic semi- ruin, after 4 years of fantastic adventures.

Travelling 4 months per year, then doing up the cottage.
Having a Motorhome parked outside, made life easy and an extra bedroom for visitors.

Shingles then long covid, brought the adventure to a close, 3 years ago.
Sold up and bought a rare, ground floor apartment in a nearby small town. All facilities within staggering distance.
3 weeks ago, we noticed a gradual improvement and it continued.
We can now walk about a mile, to a traditional restaurant, in the cooler hours.
We have been so lucky.

Blessed comes to mind Paul, great life [apart from health issues], beautiful wife, rock and roll life style in your younger years and a pocket full of cash. What's not to like.

Some impressive milestones on this thread. Ours are not so good, but getting there. Married 54 years, together for 57. Motorhoming for 11 years after I sold a small business and started to work as a manager for the Air Ambulance Service. Retired now and am 74. Been retired for 8 years and sort of enjoying it. My good lady is still working at5 72, but loves the job. It means we can't travel as much as some, but it's all good. Health wise we are good. We both still run, although she has a damaged knee at the moment, so on sabbatical. Neither of us have a dangerous illness. I have BPH, thankfully not cancer, she has an eye problem at the moment which is being dealt with.

We count ourselves lucky to still be fit and well at our ages. We see people around us succumb to illness and disability, including those on here and wondering why so far, we have got away with it!
