Allow a good length of time. They are having problems with computer system and barriers. Been in the queue for nearly an hour?!! Lights go green then cars queue and the lights turn red......people chopping and changing from one queue to another, and getting very angry...

Thanks for the warning. I hope they get the spanners out by Thursday, we're due on the 22:20.

Don't believe their site then.
😾

Definitely don't believe it. The computer systems all crashed apparently...they are catching up now but everyone is unsure which train they will get! Feel sorry for the workers they were manually lifting barriers even when the computer was back online. And now they are putting us on an hour earlier than booked...so bonus. No questions about gas/ dairy etc.

Is this UK to France, France to UK, or both please? We cross tomorrow ...

Does that apply to Eire/Ulster crossing..
That could be ' Interesting ' ?

Not at present. The decision by government to stop imports from Germany does not apply to N. Ireland. That is a matter for the N. Ireland executive.
However, since The UK government allowed N. Ireland to remain in the EU single market, we will be dictated to by Brussels, unless the Rep of Ireland decides unilaterally to stop EU imports. Even then N. Ireland could be required to act on EU policy with no recourse to refuse as N. Ireland has no representation or voting rights.

It was Tuesday eve from Calais. Hopefully all sorted now. Don't know if UK departures were affected. Sorry @Jo001 hope you got through alright.

Thanks @REC, we sort of did.

We arrived in good time, did the pet check in, got ourselves through check in.

Then, we had ANOTHER pet passport check - I asked if this was something new and the woman was quite cagey. So I still don't know why.

Then - a check for migrants, fair enough.

After the check that the gas was off (and still 10 minutes prior to departure) we were put in a lane - for a later crossing. To be fair it was only 20 minutes, but given that we'd been there with plenty of time, it was a bit annoying.

No checks for meat and dairy.

Had last night at Canterbury P&R, a nice meal at the Old Gate Inn and we are heading North now.

I think they had so much backlog on Tuesday evening, that they did no checks at all! We were there very early about 6pm, for 20.24 train, Hoped to be put on earlier train but when we finally got to the front of the checkin queue, he said that we would probably have to go much later. At the next member of staff, we were told we could go straight to boarding...left 7.30! Had an S hanger and the boards said that the ones with P were boarding.....just lucky, I think, that there was more room in large vehicle carriage.

Safe journey home Jo. I hope Timber enjoyed his holiday. We're heading through the tunnel this evening.
