Remember Mick and Paddy ?Wot's that then? Has it been specially blessed by the pope so your toast will never burn?![]()

My favourite camping breakfast is 4 slices of streaky bacon rolled up in a dry fried Paratha with maple syrupWe use a medium sized nonstick frying pan.
Works and saves on clutter.
We also keep a stock of frozen paratha. As a very nice alternative !
They are best cooked in said frying pan !
Frypan also good for garlic bread !
This looks identical to one we bought online a few years ago. It works fine. This one looks very similar to the above and has the best reviews I've seen overall so far..

There are basically 3 types unless you want to risk burning the non-stick off your ridgemonkey:
The pyramid type that Trev has shown. These are absolutely useless, don't waste your money. Have tried a couple of different makes over the years, all useless.
The square one with lots of holes in, as shown in above post. I use one currently. They are ok but don't always toast evenly.
The rectangular one that folds up. These are the bee's knee's of toasters, I borrowed my friend's to try it out and it is so much better than my square one.
We use the type in your first picture but be warned, you need to keep your eyes on it because it tossts so quickly it can soon be a nice slice of charcoalThanks for the replies, I'm hopeless without some toast to get me going so am constantly on the lookout for a device to make good toast on my gas camping stove.
This one seems to get the best reviews

Any problems with the quality of this one? I read that the later ones were not so well made, maybe they sorted that out.
That's the one we have and yes they toast very quickly thereby using les gas
I have two, both from a local place called Charlie's Direct. The first one is showing signs of wear now but we did get in in 2016Any problems with the quality of this one? I read that the later ones were not so well made, maybe they sorted that out.
I think that overall, this type has the best reviews.
