New POI map

Can anyone tell me, the old app had the ability to be centred on where I was with a blue dot and then show poi in that area. Can I do that on the new map. I see it has a ‘near me’ button but a red pop up shows saying ‘failed to locate’. Am I doing something wrong, I did try reading the instructions but couldn’t see anything pertaining to that

You just need to press the near me, it sounds like you don't have location service enabled on your device? What type of device are you using?

I don’t understand as I have gone to setting, privacy and looked at location settings. The old app is there and that was enabled but this new one is not there so how am I meant to enable it

I have an old iPhone 6s with the latest software updates. When I click on the ‘near me’ I get the below, click on allow and it takes me there?

It’s not an app per se, just a website;
In settings select Safari

Scroll down and select location services

I select ask, you could select Allow but I prefer to govern what websites can access my location

Install the app using safari and make sure location services are not blocked for Safari.

Strange, when was the last time you rebooted the phone? Im assuming it’s an iPhone, if so Press and hold the home and off buttons together until the apple symbol appears... About 8 seconds, ‘tis worth a shot?

Another one, as it uses google maps (I think!), go to settings, google maps, location, select ‘whilst using’
