Youview box

Help please, I bought a youview box off eBay on the basis that it was 12v, but the cable I have doesn’t fit and I don’t know what size to buy.
Can I just use this safely?
Cheers

I'm confused! You say the box is 12v

I bought a youview box off eBay on the basis that it was 12v,

But you are thinking of getting an inverter that converts your 12v supply to 230v

So does the device come with a 230v to 12v brick?

Are you planning to plug the inverter into 12v to convert to 230 and then plug the brick in to the inverter to convert the 230v back to 12v.

Not a good idea.

Post a few more details and we will be able to advice.

You need to take the lead that came with it into a accessory shop and get them to match the end

Yeah it came with the standard brick attached to the three pin plug.
Using the wee invertor I already have seems a bit clumsy, but safety is my main concern.

I would love to take it to a shop if one still existed. I could order lots of adapters online but have to pay return postage if they don’t fit.

What I've done with both my TV and Sat box is cut the leads of the power supply that they came supplied with and used them, Remember to check but the centre is usually the +, New power supply's are only £10 on Amazon not much more than a lead I expect
