We always leave it down as Autotrail fit a clear window in the bathroom (why?), Can I bleach it, paint it or replace it with something more suitable? Any ideas please?

We had a similar issue after leaving our motorhome for a couple of months unattended on its parking site (due to COVID).
When we went to check the van, the pleated blinds were in some areas quite discoloured and somewhat mouldy. A normal wipe with a cloth did nothing at all, so I used Dettol ‘Mould and mildew’ spray. It comes in a green spray bottle from supermarkets or Bargain Madness, and although I had used it within the house with good results on tile grout etc. I was a bit anxious as to whether it would damage the fabric of the blinds, as it is quite a strong chemical, and can take the colour out of carpets etc. However, with patience, and following the instructions, I sprayed it onto the blinds, did NOT wipe it or scrub it and after an hour or so, most of the mould was gone and the majority of the dark patches lightened enormously. The blinds are not restored perfectly, but are neither damaged and are 100% plus better than I thought they would be, and did not need replacing. Hope this helps!

I have an Autotrail as well, and my Bathroom window is clear same as yours.
Rather than keeping the blind closed, I went for an alternative approach and 'frosted' the window instead - also gives more light whilst still keeping privacy. Maybe just an option to consider?

(the stuff I used was not wide enough for a one-piece application but still looks good IMO. You can get sheets that would be, but we already had some of this left over)

My son bought something similar from Ebay to do a bathroom window which for some reason had clear glass in it. Lasted for 10 years with the shower being used twice a day.
