Have a read of this thread about the motorhome service points.

Sorry, I had read the initial post about the Isle of Skye service point but had missed that later one about Mallaig.

I like this idea. I like the enthusiasm. Anyone up to the same thing but only minimum 3 days in a row. No food. No water. No amenities.etc? Baccy, beer and weed are allowed but no lighters or bottle openers?
I don't understand what you are saying, most of use will last 3 days without using amenities, how do light your fags, rub two sticks together and opening your bottles with your teeth.

It’s isn’t really a Wild camping thread, it’s off grid stopping. I am certainly too old and knacked to do without my comfy van and thick fixed bed :)

I was just suggesting that that some members on this 'wild camping' site might be interested in using already gained wild camping skills or learning new ones while integrating it into the great idea that the person who started this thread made. It's not compulsory.
I've got to give credit where credit is due, John Climber was the guy who started this thread 3 or 4 years back and I have just restarted his idea ever year since, and it is everybody that posts on this thread that keeps it's momentum going . Back then it was purely wild camps but as the years progressed we have included the new up and coming aires type facilities, councils that are allowing over night use of there carparks and pub stops to promote all the good work that people are doing to provide motorhome and campervan facilities in what really is a backward thinking country to our hobby or lifestyle.

Once these lockdown and restrictions are lifted fully we will get back to a true "wild camp a month" theme and start running the slightly competitive tables of who's made it and who hasn't again, until then post whenever you can and let's keep sharing our favourite places.

I haven’t posted for June yet so may as well use my spiritual home 😂😂 it’s been baking hot here but today looks like we may get rain, will keep the dust down which is a bonus and I don’t mind getting wet. Almost got my battery’s recharged (me not the van) 😁😁

Edit: would help if I added pics lol

Thanks to Suneye for resurrecting this thread, should we start a fresh 2022 wild camp a month run with this one, as for ourselves we didn't get away in January due to work commitments but had a very wet weekend in Bowness, unfortunately it was so wet we took no outside photos.
