try vasiline,p.s. its good for a stiff one?. ok.pjI'm not sure I understand what you're doing to the seat with a "stiff one", but I'm sure there are lubricants for this sort of thing.
ho no? ok.pjsilicone spray ,always have a can , great for drawer runners,curtain track, anything that moves
hold on trev hope your no to stiff ,ok.pjClean the swivel first as dust/grit gets in to the track and ball bearings,white sprite will work or wd 40,then use the silicone spray which semi dries.

It does all those things but when it dries it no longer lubricates and has probably cleaned out any grease that was present. Can be useful for freeing up stuck things but no good for long term lubrication.Somebody should tell the manufacturers that it doesn't lubricate !
