What would you use to lubricate.

Try silicone spray first see how you get on. If that does not work then try WD40. It really depends on what’s causing the stiffness. Then spray again with silicone.

Clean the swivel first as dust/grit gets in to the track and ball bearings, white sprite will work or wd 40,then use the silicone spray which semi dries.

silicone spray ,always have a can , great for drawer runners, curtain track, anything that moves

Somebody should tell the manufacturers that it doesn't lubricate !

https://www.wd40.com/products/trigger-pro/ "WD-40® Multi-Use Product protects metal from rust and corrosion, penetrates stuck parts, displaces moisture and lubricates almost anything. "
It does all those things but when it dries it no longer lubricates and has probably cleaned out any grease that was present. Can be useful for freeing up stuck things but no good for long term lubrication.
