Only downside I can see is that the driver's seat doesn't appear to swivel. The children's bed and extra high roof is an optional extra. Basic price of 55,000 euros in Germany probably more when it goes on sale here.

Does look very nice, and comes in cheaper than the equivalent Westfalia. Finally a practical motorhome from VW. I've never understood the love for the traditional California, ludicrous pricing for a van conversion with pop top, no toilet and outside shower. Too small to be anything other than a dayvan.

Some nice features, but all a bit too clinical for me. A bit like sleeping in an operating theatre.

It just doesn't seem to have a homely feel about it. Maybe different if I saw it in the flesh.

A high spec Crafter van is around that price Will have to wait and see what the basic model is like if it's 55000 euro.
