Truma c3402 boiler insulation?

Hi all,

Suggestions, experiences, advice etc. sought on the following please:

Our boiler seems to get really quite hot, and along with it; the cupboard it's in, and the one above.

Whilst this is great in winter (warm clothes!), for our European trip, the boiler will be 'on' for just hot-water, and I really don't want any 'extra' heat inside the habitation area.

Obviously we can just put the boiler 'on' when we actually are going to use hot water; but I'd been wondering why the thing doesn't appear to have much (if any) insulation around it: should it have come with an insulation jacket?

Can anyone see a problem with wrapping it up in insulation to reduce heat loss to the vehicle interior?

Many thanks in advance.
