Totally new to motorhome and itineraries, any suggestions leaving from Romford for 2 nights ideally wildcamping or nearest to it.

We are looking to drive max 3 hours from Essex in large MH, want to be in nature away from people. ideally where if for at least 1 night we can camp fire. All suggestions will be deeply welcome.

We can go for walks, cycle, hike etc but certainly not with other humans.

Where can we stop day and night?
Thanks in advance.

Try Sandringham site have heard it's a good place don't know about the fire but thats not likely to be welcomed at many places

You will need to drive for more than three hours.

Forget the fire - that will make you immensely unpopular wherever you go. (n)

As has been said; full members get access to a huge database of place to go. (y)

The upside of wildcamping is the freedom and the fact you can be alone, when the dog walkers go home, but the down side is that you will upset the natives with awnings, table and chairs out. Fires are also a no go area. You wouldn't only be unpopular with the rest of the world you would be upsetting the forum members as well.

Become a full member is the easiest answer. The location map will give you hundreds of places to do the things you want. Have fun👍
Yes, a vast selection of good locations in Norfolk and Lincolnshire should be within your driving time parameters, but forget the fire - guaranteed to cause issues.

If it's your first outing just pop down to leysdown only 75 min drive from you we are here now not too busy nice walks but arrive early or late in the day otherwise no parking as cars will be here

Forget open fires. You may find some CLs and CSs with fire pits. I’ve been on a couple recently.
