Stumbled onto this site and is full of good stuff about how well solar works in different months.

Solar Irradiance - calculate the solar energy available on your site

It takes into account how high the sun is (the higher the more power) as well as how cloudy it is.

The figures are based on 22 years of measurement.

The actual amount of power you get will depend on your set up, the tables only show relative power.

The efficiency varies with location, but you can search many places.

For instance the table below shows Liverpool UK & Almeria in Spain

Jan Feb Mar Apr May June July Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
Liverpool 0.66 1.32 2.30 3.63 4.92 5.00 4.88 3.98 2.73 1.53 0.79 0.50
Almeria 2.70 3.47 4.77 6.09 6.76 7.55 7.60 6.78 5.32 3.88 2.81 2.36

E.g A typical June day in Liverpool (5.00) will provide about 10 times the power than a December day in the same place.

A typical June day in Almeria (7.55) will produce about one and a half times the power of a typical June day in Liverpool (5.00).

You can also see the impact of tilting the panel.
