I have had problems with TV reception with my Status 550 Aerial and suspect the booster is to blame. It has the LED which is supposed to turn from red to green when the signal is strongest. It has not changed from red for some time even when we actually do get a good signal and can watch TV. Good signal is extremely rare though. I can be on a site with dozens of aerials pointing to a mast I can see on the horizon confirmed by the signal finding App on my phone, i' m surrounded by folk happily watching TV but have to explain to my missus why she cannot watch Downton in our van... Not good.

I cannot test the setup at home as in our rural location we have no signal ( have to use Sky Freesat).

Is there a way I can test the booster to see if it is actually working either partially, intermittently or not at all.

I bought a signal finder off ebay and can plug the aerial directly into this and see where the signal is strongest ( most LED's lit) but often this just confuses the issue when I still cannot tune in to any stations despite a strong signal indicated. Connecting the aerial direct to the TV does not work either.

Any advice ???

K ( thinking of turning the telly cabinet into a drinks cabinet)

I have just fitted the Status 570 aerial and booster, to my motorhome, with the same led indicator booster as you mention. My led changes colour when the aerial it moved.
I used to get freeview in the garden with our old 'flying saucer' Wing aerial, and I seem to get good reception with the 570, but not yet been able to try the aerial out of the garden, so I hope I have not wasted £140.
