Just come back from our last big trip of the summer and it was the best!

North Norfolk-didn't have high hopes of where we were off too but it proved us wrong, great cycling country, good walks and lush beaches and great company of my sister and her hubbie.

Van needs a bloody good clean inside and out, and the wine cellar needs restocking before next weekend! but thats it now for us until christmas jsut weekends away-work realy gets in the way of life! Oh yes work I had better look like I plan to do some!

We will shortly be doing a tour of Lincs., Norfolk and Suffolk and going to the Lincoln Show.

I hope you Teesside gadgies have not ruined the area for us. :(

We like beaches as well, so a few recommendations would not come in wrong. preferably ones with sand dunes and Rabbits, so the bairns can get some exercise.

We were on best behaviour!

However Norfolk is minus a few hares and bunnies (and very nearly two deer???), my sisters two lurchers with the help of my lurcher cross saw to that-but as you said keeps them fit.

The Norfolk coast path was lovely, lots of free running for the hounds, as for beaches Wells and Hunstanton both have areas where dogs are allowed and are both lovely beaches.

Summer is not officially over until the 21/22 Sept. In Cornwall we have great weather in Sept: and Oct: at times.

Hi Maingate,

Try Old Hunstanton, Its a couple of miles further on from the clifftops at Hunstanton (where you can still park overnight I think) but the beach is nicer and it backs onto rougher ground. More chance of Rabbit or two.

Before you get there, Sandringham Estate followed by the RSPB reserve down Beach Road from Snettisham. Then Norfolk Lavender at Heacham. At about Hunstanton you will pick up the signs for the Dear Park which is not too far away.

Beware the coast road past Hunstanton its a bit challenging in a car. You can do it even with a large van but take care.

Hello all,

Thanks for the info so far. I have been doing a bit of squinting at Google Earth and the possibilities look good.

There are 2 places I intend to try and will forward them to canalsman if suitable. One is Winterton on Sea in Norfolk and the other is Walberswick in Suffolk. Does anyone have any knowledge of these areas?

Any others I come across will be noted too.

Thanks again.
