how sad can a person be to sit fishing :eek::D thought this for years :eek: BUT i now fancy trying a bit of sea fishing (harbour seawall pier ect )not beach or boat:cool:what tackle will i need, prefer good second hand gear rather than cheaper new,will check out ebay. thanx arthur

hi arthur you can pic up some cheap rods reels for pier fishing they can come as cheap as £25. e bays crap you can pic some stuff up at car boots. but be careful not to get river stuff always ask for sea rods and reels. if you type in on google ron thompson fishing tackle and look under sea fishing theres lots of stuff there best of luck .

As an angler for many years, in my experience you can't beat going to a tackle shop near where you first intend fishing. The locals will advise and guide you. You should be able to pick up a pier kit for £20 -£30. This of course, you can use wherever you go in the future.
But where ever you go call in to the local shop or ask local anglers. If their any thing like me. Which they usually are, they will be only too pleased to help.

aldi have some fishing stick thingys in on sale but dunno if there any good:confused:
