Morning all.

No that's not the name of the latest country and western singer. I've just been cleaning out one of our water containers (20ltr) and noticed a small amount of rust on the, what I thought, was the stainless steel, jubilee clip holding the pipe onto the submersible pump to the tap. This water will only ever be boiled first, but do you think it will cause us any health issues?
Going away tomorrow so won't get a chance to try a source a true stainless steel clip beforehand.
Thank you.
Colin. 🙂

No bother as on outside, but any marine shop will have s steel clips.
If it's on the outside of the pipe on the submersible pump, it's inside the fresh water tank and the water pumped through will have been exposed to it.

Thanks everyone. We'll be ok for our few nights away then, and I'll chang it to a genuine SS clip when we get back.

Colin🙂👍

My favourite tipple used to be rusty nails! The clip is probably 304 grade stainless as if it would do you harm in such a small amount I doubt it but no real hassle in changing it costing a couple of bob.
