Public Swimming Pools = Free Showers ?

Has anyone made a list of UK Public Swimming Pools that have showers ? Not city's just towns. Where after you pay your entrance fee you could use the shower facilities.

Or any other suggestions as to where you could just drop in for a clean shower when your out on the road ? Apart from obvious ones like truck stops etc.
 
I'll start you off, Rhayader leisure centre just up the road for the C&CC site.

Has nobody ever heard of a top and tail. Put some warm water in the sink, wash your hair, empty, fill again and wash the shampoo off and using a flannel and the soapy water from your hair wash, wash neck down. When done allow the shower to wash off residue, or use a clean basin full and wash it all off. Uses less than 1 liter of water and your clean (ish)

What about the unspeakable bits.:scared:
 
most public swimming pools will allow you to shower.....usually for a small fee..a couple pound or so........failing that ....just pay the fee for a swim ....and get the shower..........other than that

a bowl and water...soap and flannel. as 1 post suggested....

i wouldnt expect free showers from public lesiure facilities...........and think free showers would be very few and far between......just my opinion

Think all motorway services have showers ?

Its where the local kids go for their weekly bath but I am not sure you would come out any cleaner than when you went in.

some fishing ports have showers...... which are frequently free

We used the showers in the pwhelli sailing club (lady on reception said they were free)
And stuffed a fiver in the RNLI box on the counter as payment for the 2 of us

many do have showers - but charges vary between operators... Gloucester services are free and lovely ... but i was asked for £11 for a shower at another services

Some do, some don't. Some are unisex. Some even have them in the Ladies for ladies, but at some services they are only in the Gents.
 
Stanwix campsite £5 person swimming pool,sauna,steam room, Jacuzzi, heated loungers, foot spa and "experience showers"
 
Ullapool showers

Toilets behind the ferry car park has showers. Do believe that they are free.
