Dear Wildcamping fraternity. Sue and I are planning to spend a few days wilding in Dumfries and Galloway soon on our way down to the Yorkshire Dales. I note from several threads on here and our sister site that the area seems to be hooching with you lot. Would you mind all please vacating the area before our visit so that all of our favourite spots will be empty and available for our sole use?

22% of D&G is covered in forests - plenty of opportunities for 'losing yourself' if you are adventurous...

Enjoy D&G - its a lot quieter than parts of the highlands.

Sorry still mooching but will be heading off on Saturday is that soon enough for you, but as Arny would say I’ll be back.
 
Yorkshire Permits

Excuse me..... Have you a permit for the Yorkshire Dales and have you paid I see no record of it as of today.

I have applied for it - just waiting for credit and criminal records checks!

We’ve got ourselves a six week pass returning to froggy fest at the beginning of April let us know if you in our area 👍
 
We vacated the area on Monday and are currently in Glencoe heading North. Don’t know how folks cope with all that warm weather day after day!
 
Dear Tony and Sue
This is extremely thoughtful and kind of you to recce the area for us. We are thinking there for next summer. Please keep a list of all your nice places and pass it on to us.
