Those that are coming over to Spain in the next 2 months and bring your dog with you take care, today when i took my dog out i saw many caterpillar nest in the pine trees far more than normal this year they are called here processionary caterpillar and very dangerous to pets, and not very nice if you come in connect with them

Isn't this quite early for them? And not to be alarmist but they can kill your dog.

Never seen them.

Seen in Brittany

Walking our dogs last evening, found lots of the little b*****ds. We live near Redon in South Brittany, haven't come across them this early before. A friend said she had had to take her cat to the vet on 1st December after having had contact with the caterpillars.

Quite a lot around Aguilas in Spain. Not on the floor yet but are active and feeding in the trees through daytime.

So any dog should be kept from under the trees as hairs do drop onto the floor.
