Watch out there seems to be some real problems at Pay Pal, they keep saying problems, and then when you end up having to phone them they have many questions which they want answered, they want you to send passport, and give password over the phone, no way. Something really fishy here, can’t even get our money out, be warned.

If theyre asking for your password over the phone then its a scam situation, are you sure you haven't clicked a false link?

No one asks for your password over phone only bits of it.Dead give away is request for passport, many people don't possess one . It's a scam.

Korky.

weve used paypal several times in the last week both buying and selling. even did an ebay refund this morning, just logged onto paypal to check it went through ok, everything seems fine.

given that you need the full password to use paypal online anyone asking for it over the phone is a scam

Working 100% under linux which would flag a scam of which you have there, dont tell em your name pike.

Yes spoke directly to Pay Pay on their number, madness as we have four accounts, then we tryed chrome and it works, so it seems pay pal and firefox are having problems.

I have just had a problem with Paypal which took ages to sort out. I too use Firefox but I don't think that was the problem.

I did not phone them but I emailed them to tell them to stick their system where the Sun don't shine and cancelled the DD for Paypal. That seemed to get their attention and a compromise was reached by me sending a photo of my Driving Licence. The biggest obstacle was that the telephone number they had for my account was no longer the one I used, so check your contact details are up to date as they ask for 2 separate forms of proof of ID.

Thanks Maingate, we eventually got our money out of Pay Pal, but I just wanted to give a warning in case anybody else was getting the run around.:mad1:

I buy off E Bay but do not sell on there, so I do not have a Pay Pal account , just use card payments .same protection if I want a refund or any thing goes wrong,E Bay has tried to get me to have a Pay Pal account but I resist each time, works for me, different if I wanted to sell on there I guess but I do not want to do that.

Imust admit that I have been using paypal for both buying and selling for years and have never had a problem

Nothing wrong with firefox, chrome is wide open, linux chromium ,duck duck go or arora are safe, but its the twats at the other end who sell or give away your details which as far as im concerned should be or is an offense under data protection act.:hammer:
