Paint Advice

Paint the tyres with some grease, after painting you can wash of with gunk.
The main res folk brought us steel wheels was they would not seal tubless tyres,so inside rim was always done, black taxi rims were always giving trouble.

One factor to bear in mind is what is available in lockdown. You can get Hammerite at Screwfix.

I ended up getting direct to metal paint made by Leyland, and we always equate that name with quality and longevity....

Used layland paint once as instructed by customer, total crap and when he seen for himself ask for a redo ,our speck.

I've used Corroless paints on various things and it does seem pretty good. You can use the rust inhibitor which looks suspiciously like red oxide followed by the glass reinforced paint. If no rust can just use the glass reinforced paint.

Before and after, the before shot shows the general state of all the rims,I found some red oxide at work so gave them a good coating, then two coats of silver, quite happy with it.
