I lost exhaust extension on ducato van, in France could not retrieve it as it was a duel carrage way and could not stop.

There is some heat damage on the plastic trim and I managed to do a
temperary job.
The part required is the short pipe which deflecks exhausted heat to the
floor the diameter is 70 mm.

I was just thinking I've not seen a post from him for a while. Can I suggest that you go to an exhaust place? Particularly ones that make up stainless ones. They should be able to make one for you, no problem.

Hi,
try Marks auto shop in Welshpool near the Spar supermarket, for a chromed bend, that's the place I got mine.
Hope you had a good trip, apart from the loss.

Happy Camping:)
Bill.

AJS is your van A CI if so have a look at your exhaust it may have this extension pipe on, I would take a picture of it but it is squoshed by now some where:mad::mad:

Hi Cipro,
do yourself and your bank acc a favour and fit a bend, they do the same job, and in my opinion look better, and are considerably cheaper.
Fitted one to my Peugeot, looks the biz.
In a lot of cases, the exhausts on Motorhomes are originaly on chassis made for pickup trucks and are then too long for the Motorhome bodies, when lowered onto Alco chassis. This can cause problems when parking alongside very high curb edges, caught mine a few times, then took 4" of pipe off the end and fitted the bend, no problems since, and looks great.

So can I go to a exhaust centre and ask them to fit a normal straight pipe
extension and point it slightly down

There is one thing I saw once, it was an old motorhome with exhaust
sticking out of the side and smoke bellowing up the side of the van, i guess you would get some carbon s*** depositing on the side of the van.

Hi Cipro,
if it's just your chromed extension that went missing:eek: just buy yourself a chromed bend. They come in various length's, so must be one suitable for yours.
PM me your phone number and I will ring you. Pity, I am in Shrewsbury today.

Hi cipro,
glad you found one.
We have full timed for a couple of years, touring Europe, but now live just outside Welshpool, maybe see you around.

Happy Camping:)
