Evening all.
After destroying another plastic step stool id like to fit a permanent pul/fold out side step to or transit mk7 fwd medium wheelbase.
Has anyone fitted one of these to a transit? If so, what make was it please, and where did you get it?
Any pictures would be welcome.

Thanks in anticipation

Colin.

May be worth looking into a generic one like this;

...scroll down the page in the link, there are several listed both manual and electric.

Not just me who mashes plastics stools then! After mashing our electric step on the threshold of a motorhome aire in greece, yes, handy raised steel bar, we used our cheepo chinese folding plastic thing. So, emerging from the van with a dish of yoghurt and fruit in each hand, i trod on the step which promptly gave way, dish contents flung into the air and mostly landing on my wife seated at table. beside the van!! No bones broken but extensive abrasions the bonus. Laundry to do....

I looked at fitting one of those to the self-build, but figured I'd forget it so I planned to put a microswitch on it somehow so it buzzed if out and ignition on, but we decided that we'd rarely get in and out of the SLD so never bought one.

I fell off the step to ours whilst at the @Scotia residence. I assume that is what happened as the step was tipped over when I came round and a half smoked cigarette next to me lying in the light snow. If it wasn't for my missus looking outside in the early hours I might have been there all night!

I blame Sam's beer, it's just so moreish!

I ran the first one over, and my wife stood on another one I'd "repaired" and it collapsed. Needless to say I'm not allowed to repair anymore steps and we are getting a "proper one not one of those !#@£* plastic things"

Back to the step I got a decent folding metal one on Amazon I copied Rubyken who copied Tim 120 that’s the way it works when somebody finds something decent on here I’ll try and find it.

Evening friends.
