If you want cheering up, then Pusser's Progress should do the job. My husband is howling with laughter like a demented hyena - and I have lost the Kindle yet again!! (Fortunately, I managed to read it before he got hold of it.)

Unfortunately, it is only available as a Kindle download, or I would give it to all my motorhoming friends. Pusser's Progress will strike a chord with us all, although hopefully none of us have suffered quite as much as Pusser did!

Pusser's Progress eBook: Pusser Hills: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store

Currently £2.14, and I haven't laughed so much for ages!! Bargain!! (And apparently you will be donating to charity, though how much and what to, I am not sure.) :)

Yep I know I am an old grumpy fart but I will never buy anything that has a charity donation vectered into price. It always feels like they are telling me what and where I should donate. I will not give into collection boxes either as I donate a substantial amount every year to 3 favorite charities where I know the money is not going to be spent on large wages for collecting staff etc.

In this case, it's only once you've bought the book that you see where 'all' of its proceeds go to (a charity supported by 'Meso Warrior' Mavis Nye whom some forum members will know).

I'm very happy with this policy, its links with a known motorhomer, and the book, written by a camper, is just £2.14.

I bought the book, read it and probably laughed once, perhaps it's me but a lot of the things in the book have happened to me over 20 odd years of motor caravanning. Bambi 2

I got it for 1.88 at Smashwords. There you can choose from a selection of formats (Kindle, Sony, PDF, plain text etc etc).

I might have laughed once or twice but yes, we`ve probably all been there/done that.

Well said Donkey too - I only donate to two charities a year and never put into collecting boxs, like you I dislike money I have worked going to pay the wages for fat cats.

I think that was what made my husband laugh so much, because he could recognise a fellow sufferer. Thanks for the tip about Smashwords, we're quite new to this Kindle thing, and so far have only used Amazon to get books. I used it and downloaded "The Princess and the Penis" which I found quite amusing, even though it was pretty short. (but FREE!)

...err the Princess or the Penis? lol

Yeh, a modern fairytale, but NOT for the kids, although they probably know it all already!! Basically the princess finds an oddly shaped lump in her bed - def NOT a pea!!
