Here we are on a campsite near Kivik on the east coast of southern Sweden. Not crowded September 2020.

I remember one night in the 80s in Båstad at the campsite when we, my family, camped whith tent and went to bed in the evening to sleep. Late in the evening, a large group of young people drove in with large American cars. They started drinking, playing loud music, vomiting, drunkdriving and stepping on our tent ropes. We did not sleep much that night.
I think wild camping is safer.

1st time I ever wild camped (under canvass ) was on Cannock Chase. Pitched tent and sorted dinner then turned in as the light went. Next morning 4 tents had been pitched and a group of school girls + teachers from Brocton set about breakfast. I did get an invite. Lucky for me they only stayed a couple of days then had the rest of the week to myself.
