I prefer my external screens.....
Karcher don't exactly have the best track record quality wise.
Kärcher window vac,
they are very popular on here this is a video of its postmortem.
The moral of the story seems to be, don't get water inside them.
The great thing about a window vac is that it turns your windscreen into a dehumidifier. It collects moisture from the van air, condenses it where you can suck it away from, and then you pour it down the drain.
External screens raise the temperature of the windscreen glass, so the damp condenses somewhere else (less accessible).
Wiping the windows dry leaves you with a damp cloth or chamois, which then evaporates at least some of the water back into the van.
Apart from the gallon that's been beading up and running down your window all night whilst you weren't in action with vour vac ...
Into the deep and likely unpainted bit hidden behind the dash in most vans.
Think I need one of these now.
