I have been looking for a dash tray for ages abc I found this piece of wood in the shed.
I have wedged it this and am going to cut two holes in it for the important things like coffee ...
Can anyone spot a safety hazard I'm missing. It won't budge by the time I move finished 😂

Sharp corners, Jac. Radius required, other than than that, grande job, lass!

... Great minds Terry I was going to round off the corners and stick a hole in it for sirs coffee and try make it blend in more. When you have the piece of wood lying around and it doesn't cost you a penny is a good feeling 🤣🤣

Yep, agreed rounded corners, but I would hold off on putting the fire pit underneath it

You could actually utilise each corner for cup holding, doesn't really need to be a full hole to hold each cup, which would take care of sharp corners, get my drift?

I do Terry ... I get ya ... but I haven't even got a cutter yet and my wood working skills are even worse than my cooking skills .. oh on second thoughts 😂

50mm or in old money, 2 inch hole saw will be suffice, or a jigsaw, I'm sure a neighbour will have one or other you can borrow?

My neighbours are the ones that borrow off us 😳
Maybe B & Q or homebase might do it if I ask nicely ..
Other than that I will give it a go 😄

It's soooo important to have somewhere to put your cup, carry on. :hammer:

Debs I liked what you did to the front of your van ?
Very clever .. that's where I got the idea from of having a table/ place for coffees etc. Very handy even when parked up 😊

As long as it can be removed when driving it looks ok,better of with the tray from ebay which can be stored away.

Just a quiet word in your shell like Jac, I can’t help noticing that you have chosen a Renault.
If you get the glow plug warning light 302 Moved appear on your dashboard, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have a problem with your glow plugs.
Renault use it as a general warning light for ANY electrical problems.
Fore warned is fore armed. Enjoy the foreign.

Just seen this, don't get on here as often as I should'
Noticed in the original picture it was a mmmmmGreggs coffee cup. The answer is obvious. Buy the sausage rolls as well, 4 for the price of 3, and use them to support the cup. It'll work long enough to eat the said sausage rolls, then you could throw the coffee away, and make a cup of tea.
Where to place the tea cup would need another thread.

Hope you find this useful

I have secured the dash tray well and truly ..I practically hammered it on (just kidding) 😀
My question is my van got its MOT on Wednesday, willi get asked to move it ?
I thought you weren't allowed anything in the dash as it could be deemed as restrictive view ?

Hope not took me ages to get it in place and play jiggery pokery
