Astra 2 is the only one of use if you speak English!

There are Sat Receivers available capable of giving You a choice of Audio Frequency's which broadcast a choice of languages for some programs from some Satellites. Some Technomate receivers have this facility useful when out of the range of Astra 2

This is quite normal, for systems such as an Oyster 1, which has a manual facility. Oyster stopped supporting this system, several years ago, so the option is to either use the manual facility, or purchase a new control box for something like £600, or more.

Unfortunately my Mobiltech i-sat can't be upgraded, took Seaflo two years to eventually realise this and return my £350 for a new control unit which was never designed to work with my model.

Astra 2 working in Newcastle this morning

That's probably the problem then. It should be working at 28.2° East in the Clarke Belt.

If it was in Newcastle, somebody has probably nicked it and weighed it in for scrap.
