Received this from the Camp Quirky team this morning :(

I am writing to you with the very disappointing news that we have taken the decision to cancel the May 2021 Camp Quirky event. At this point we do not have a rescheduled date.

We are gutted and we know you will be too. Having stuck with us through two cancellations, we are deeply sorry that circumstances mean that once again we are bringing you bad news.

Back in July, May felt like a pretty comfortable date to plan for. However, one thing we've learned is that it's almost impossible to plan in a global pandemic.

We did consider rescheduling for later in the year, given the optimistic timeline set out by the government. However, there is just too much uncertainty, and after a challenging year for our business, we sadly can't afford to invest resources into another event that we may have to cancel. We need to prioritise the sustainability of Camp Quirky into the future.

You might wonder why we aren't rolling over the tickets again. One reason is that we don't know at this point whether we might manage a festival later in 2021 or not till 2022. The second reason is that as a small team we don't have capacity to manage all the additional admin of dealing with ongoing questions and requests from ticket holders.

You do not need to take any action. Please allow 28 days for the refund to appear in your account. The refund amount will be for the face value of your tickets; unfortunately the booking fee cannot be refunded, it is retained by The Ticket Sellers. If your refund has not come through within the 28 day timeframe please contact info@theticketsellers.co.uk.

We will find some way to mark the May weekend with a virtual event - more details on that to follow.

I will be hopping on to a facebook live on the Quirky Campfire group tomorrow at 1pm to announce this decision to non ticket holders and also to answer any of your questions. We want to inform other contributors and traders before the general public, so please hold off posting in there until tomorrow.

We are so grateful for this community and for all your support over the past year and truly sorry that we won't be meeting with you in a field this spring.

Stay safe, stay kind, stay connected,

The Camp Quirky team
