Far far be it for me to critisize google maps and street view the best aid to meandering motorhomers for many a year.

But but I have found a tiny teeny weeny glitch.

We are off to London soon for a long weekend visiting museums, art galleries etc and are going to stay at the "east London hotel."

One of the museums madam wishes to visit is the V&A museum of childhood just along the road so I went down to street view and to my astonishment the whole area is shown at night.

What the b*^"*^* hell is the use of street view at night ???

I cannot see the hotel, the museum even the road its like a scene from "Night of the living dead". I am totally banjaxed.

It's very atmospheric though.:D

When I look at Google Earth the Sat view is new and within the last 6 months, but the street view is over 7 years old. So out of date!

On street view my old car is still on the drive, I sold it in 2012.

Agree Google maps is a great tool . I assume virtually all of us use it .
They do get it wrong though .
I had guests arriving who had googled the post code . When they didn't arrive at the flat I phoned them , Google had the wrong address for the postcode . They then refused to follow my directions because , in their opinion , Google knew where my flat was better than I did . Blind faith

Have you tried using a torch?.....

If you go along the road its only a little bit in the dark, soon back to the daylight.

And have a look at it with satellite view and then 3D

So you ate their dinner and drank their share of the wine, then?
