To members who've been to the same rallies and probably seen our old Autosleeper van (Ford Transit 2.1 diesel 'banana' engine) a question ...

How much do you think it's worth, realistically? As with everything, I know the value of anything is only what someone is willing to pay for it, but I was hoping it might fetch around £3,000.

Someone approached us and offered £2,000 a few months ago, but we weren't parting then.

Answers on a postcard please! ;) :)

No Idea

Could you please give more details --- mot year condition modifications etc.
Thanks
Martin

Will post more details in a couple of hours... got to do something pronto ... be back soon, sorry...

I would have said at the very least £3000 for your van Marie.

The monococque Autosleepers are quite sought after. I would hold out until spring if you can when values will be higher.

...I would also look on the Autosleepers owners forum at their 'for sale' section and see what they have been asking on there.

ooohhh errrr. marie, exciting......have you found another van.......good luck

I think I would be looking at maybe a little more than that bearing in mind what OH did, and the changed engine,

Just a rough guess but I’d be looking to get as near to £11995 as possible 😜

Wully, I'll pm you my bank details straight away so you can transfer the money asap! :lol-049: :rolleyes2: :lol-061:

Seriously, it's worth nowhere near that amount, but thanks for the kind offer... ;) :)

Marie, I think you may be surprised at how much you could get for it. Considering the price old motorhomes tend to go for £3000 is far too low. Even if you stuck it on ebay with a 4000 starting price (considering fees etc) it would still probably exceed your expectations.

Watch him Marie, he's a jock, you'll notice that there are no decimal points !!! £11995 = £1.19.95 I'll even offer 2 quid and I don't need your bank details. I'll send you a postal order:dog::dog::dog:
Seriously though, best of luck with the sale and if you can hang on a couple of months it'll probably better

Anything is only worth what you can get for it when you sell it (if looking at monetary values). If I am happy with what I pay, or get, for something then that’s what matters to me. No point feeling bad that yo May have done better
