Hob Igniter Problem.

The problem is probably that the igniter is earthing somewhere else, if you can get to the wires check that they are still fully insulated.

I had the same problem, a couple of the igniter wires had touched the top of the oven and had party melted the plastic so they earthed through the oven. I simply put electricians tape round the exposed wire and rerouted them away from the top of the oven. Problem solved.
