Hi all just about to change from a caravan to a motorhome. We are hoping to take a year off next year and travel around the UK in our first motorhome. It will be done on a small budget but we promised ourselves an adventure before we get too old. Any advise would be welcome. we have just started looking for our home on wheels.

Welcome from Co Antrim norn iron.make sure you get some solar panels on the roof ,about 200w and a good regulator, with this you can stop where you like and relax with out the dreaded ehu hook up.

Hi welcome don't be in to much rush to get the van make sure you get the layout to suit you. Then consider for your adventure a visit to France to help keep the budget low and hopefully a bit better weather.

Welcome to the group, money well spent joining the forum. I am looking forward to having a long (6-12 months) tour of Uk or the continent, but I must work first.. 3 years to go :)
