We have an old yuasa battery. Ybx 3000 ?
It was installed 3 years ago as the cranking battery.
A new cranking battery is in place. Presumably because it was near dead.
It is now a dead weight.
FREE at a meet if anyone wants it ??????
But more seriously how to dispose of it

I’ve just replaced my habitation batteries and someone suggested I should weigh them in instead of dumping them. I took the old ones to the local scrap yard yesterday and they gave me £20 for them. They had pallets full of old batteries, so it can’t be unusual to do that.

There's money in them old batteries!
Lead Acid batteries are heavily recycled (most "new" Lead Acid batteries have the spirit of old batteries in them over and over again)

If no local/handy scrap yards, local council recycling centre will probably take them.
They won't give you £20 for it though. :)

A good Christian burial would be out of the question. Toxic waste. Look what happened to Brian Aldridge.
Local metal recycling center every time. 😇
