Why are footballers still being allowed to celebrate with their man hugs, kissing and cuddling after scoring a goal, this was very evident on this mornings BBC News.

I thought they`d been asked / advised to stop this but have quite clearly ignored the advice and carried on as normal.

I remember something on the news a while back saying they been told to stop but all that seems to have been swept under the carpet now.

In my mind this is giving out completey wrong and misleading messages to all their fans many of whom seem to dote on their heroes evey move so will see it as acceptable.

Awaiting flak o_O

No flak from me. (y)

We've both been shocked to see this behaviour on the news. I'd even wondered whether they were showing historic film.

WE have been told that it is ESSENTIAL TRAVEL only so how can 11 guys plus all the support staff heading off to meet another 11 guys plus support staff to kick a ball around for 90 minutes be classified as ESSENTIAL TRAVEL or have I missed something.

If you or I organised a game of football on the local football pitch we would be escorted to the Police cells and issued with £800 fines each.

One thing I would say though if BORIS can goto SCOTLAND then I will be packing the MH and heading that way shortly. They cannot have different rules for some and expect Joe public not to do the same thing.

i don’t even understand why there are football matches at all give them a year off it’s not like they need the money.

I fully agree Annie however, the poor little poppets would still need to be on their full salary otherwise the WAGS might have to go without their beauty treatments.

There was something in the news the other week about a tennis players girlfriend at the Austrailian Open having to wash her own hair o_O

Football is panacea for the masses, imho.

I guess under present circumstances it may be seen as a positive thing to try and keep it going?
Bit of a feeble 'reason', but hey ho. Guess it gives lots of people a bit of a lift.

And if the PM wants to go to Scotland who's to deny him?
Plenty of other people have never stopped travelling around the country 'doing their jobs' right the way through the pandemic.

(Apart from that idler from over the border @The laird who decided it was better to be sitting drinking cocktails in the warm at home! ;):ROFLMAO: 😂 )

Ms Sturgeon is trying to stir it, imo, and I think that sort of pointless sniping does absolutely nothing for anyone right now - quite the opposite.

What about the met police officers who got together and brought a hairdresser in to give them all haircuts.

Fined £200 each, which is probably no big financial hardship as they are in full time employment.
Equivalent of a slap on the wrist.

I'm going to have to shut up now or I'll be in trouble again.... !:ROFLMAO::cool:

Hang about a minute Tennis Stars GIRLFRIEND what is she doing there. Everyone is struggling yet she manages to get a freebee. Disgusting.

You should be alright as long as you don't mention .. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden

AKA ..

The scenes on the news from Heathrow airport a few days ago were quite shocking. It does appear that for the most part if you have a recent negative covid test you can travel internationally, depending on the rules of the destination country.

What I’m astonished at is why would anyone want to? Sure, I’d love for us to fly off to Lanzagrotty for a week of non freezing weather, but conversely I’d much rather be alive and not be part of the problem.

Covid is for the main a disease spread by contact. You don’t need a degree in infectious diseases to work out that the only truly safe action you can take is to stay at home. If EVERYBODY stayed home for six weeks this disease would be stopped in its tracks, stay home for twelve weeks it’d all be over.

To get back on topic, as for the footballers they should set an example. There again, intelligence and common sense does seem to abandon these guys once they get into the higher end of the game....

Whatever you do don't mention C***A, you will be thrown into the dungeons and flogged with used face masks and intubated up your rectum with a vacuum hose. If that doesn't see you off, then watch"54 Days" televised last Tuesday the 26th, you may just burst a blood vessel. :sneaky:

I have heard onbad authority..that footballers are stopping their cars/coaches (bicycles ?) whilst travelling and
P1ss1ng and Sh1tt1ng and disposing of grey water in the hedgrows/road drains/layby's etc !

The families of these footballers are also frequently breaking the social contact rules and quite a few have paid the price with outbreaks of the virus common amongst them.

The reason why I care? My son has had a few years of steady work on those largely unwatched 'fly on the wall' Real Wives Of Cheshire programmes and because of their inability to follow the rules the series has been suspended two or three times. He reckons the distribution of braincells is pretty sparse amongst them as well.

But, of course, they are 'entitled'...

Cheers
