ferry size

Evening, I was looking at our ferry itenary and it says its for a m/h no longer than 699cm and no higher than 299cm but mine is 7.1m long and 3.25m high-will I get away with it?
 
Just been looking at previous posts and its stranraer to belfast we are going
 
just foned the port and they said its ok...I will take that with a pinch of salt

I'm interested in this actually as mrs wants to go to Ireland and ours is slightly longer than yours and 3.15 tall, do let me know if you have any trouble please

I don't know what ferry company you're using but we used Calmac from Ardossan to Brodick ( Arran ) and they came out and measured ours and every other M/home and van waiting for the boat.

Funny though, they did'nt bother measuring us from Lochranza to Claonaig and from Uig to Lochmaddy, they just accepted what we said ( 6 mtr ). :confused:

When I read the smallprint it said the measurements-I did get worried thus phoned.I eventually got through to the stena line port control and the man said it will be ok and said aslong as its not higher than an artic it will go on and they dont measure anything.
I suppore its the ols saying-if you are akward with them they will be the same with you...

Calmac would charge you for dead flies on the windscreen if they thought they'd get away with it :mad:
I took my towball off when the buggers said I was 50,mm[2"] overlength. going from Skye :mad:


correction, SWMBO said it was 150 mm 6" overlength and I took Towball, spacer and the TB mounted bike rack off
why does she remember so clearly ?? cos I put the stuff in the M/H and got grease on the carpet :(
