A nice little place I would say for a week. You can park in a lay by right by the beach as shown in the photo, or 2 hundred metres further is a massive car park. You are not allowed to park at the entrance but slighty further back.

The beach sands are average, Water from the foot showers is salty & not okay for the tank or for drinking.

The town itself is full of life and a lot to see during an evening stroll.

Good to see S P. is still OK to wild camp we used the large car park you refer to but it can flood in heavy rain , we haven't been to Spain for a couple of years, the last two we have been to Portugal, after seeing your pictures I am getting the urge to go thee again.:drive::drive:

Yes, you can still park on the waste land, like I said further back. Or if you keep your eyes open, there are just 2 spots right at the water's edge where they unload the boats.

Great pics Thanks.
I was there in January, and have never seen so many motorhomes wild camped in one spot before.
I got water from the foot showers at finestrat beach, had a shower in it, then boiled some for a mug of tea. It wasn't until I took a sip of the tea I discovered it was seawater :scared::lol-053:

Sorry BJ. I slipped up there. You are right. I just checked my travel log and it is salt water.

Santa pola

Hello

This thread takes me back. In the late 1960's my wife and I (not married just walking out at the time) set off to walk to Morocco. People of our age
will recall it was the place to go back then. We never did'nt make it to Morocco only as far as Santa Pola. It was boiling hot so we just camped on the
beach, in a tiny tent, for a couple of weeks then packed up and walked back to Liverpool. Happy days. We are still together, still have the wonderlust,
live up near the Lake district and still love walking.

Nothing to do with motorhoming just a little trip down memory lane.
