Just found this one built in 1965 and still going strong, a good candidate for those of you who like building their own :unsure: 🤪 ;)

 
I remember all the milk floats here were lecky and you could hear the bottles clanking away at 5 in the morning, never mind the humming wooo sound of the motor.

They're still in use.

The place where I parked up last year during the various lockdowns had milk deliveries three times a week around 2am using an electric float.

They sound just the same as they ever did ... Very evocative.
 
I liked the old electric trolley busses, the sound of them clicking through the relays was wonderful,


 
Somehow I cant see it getting up the Col du Tourmalet although it would be good on aire if you didnt want to disturb anyone chugging in late on or an early depart. :D
