Hi, We leave for our yearly trip to Italy to visit the Mafia side of the family around Oct 6th. Returning around 14th Nov.

Motorhome is panel van 6mtrs L = 2.5mtrs H.

Best deal I can find is Dover / Dunkerque with Norfolkline for £88, which seems reasonable, but anyone know a better offer ?

Hi Dezi.
Have just booked our return trip to France, Dover to Calais with P&O for 38 pounds thought that's quite reasonable. Also with a 6mtr van, at a reasonable hour.
Hope you have a good trip.

regards Nolly.

Hi, If the trip was for a shorter time period it would have been around the £40 / £50 mark, but 6 weeks away for £88 - I aint moaning.

What gets me is why they charge more for a longer period, whats difference does it make ?.

Hi Dezi,

Got mine a lot cheaper going through C&CC club but was only for three weeks. No idea why longer costs more? Not as you are staying on the ferry!!!

Richard

how much would it be if done as seperate bookings?

before i have just booked one way and booked the return while over there somewhere

I know of a better offer Dexy.

Buy a one way ticket only (and don't come back). :lol-061::lol-061:

We exchange Tesco Clubcard points for Eurotunnel vouchers. They count for three times the value, so around £50 of points gets you a return journey. Much quicker and easier than a ferry too.

Dezi,

We booked Dover-Dunkirk £28 +£6 fuel surcharge each way, three weeks ago with DFDS (which was Norfolkline) going next Monday coming back 23rd. OK aweful times, sailing 22.00 both ways but who worries when you can camp as soon as you are off.

Can't you save some money with night sailings?

Hope that helps,

Enjoy your trip.

We are fitting new sink & worktops in the kitchen at the moment.
New freezer on order, so we moved the old freezer into the garage for the fruit & veg overspill from the garden.
Except old freezer did not like move so it sulked & KAPUTED. Rapid movement of frozen food
around locality & into motorhome as new freezer does not arrive until tomorrow.
Last night we had no sink or water in kitchen & I cannot rewire appliances in until joinery finished today, hopefully.

This morning - 6.30 - I noticed the outside drain blocked & spilling over

So your suggestion is looking very tempting at the moment.
