Decided this morning to have a drive around the south west coast of Scotland, hoping that storm brendan had blown itself out.

Had planned on spending the first overnight at Kippford sailing club car park, but a combination of no overnight parking signs, a hooligan blowing off the sea rattling the yacht masts and the pub looking closed has moved us up to Dalbeattie car park where its nice and quiet - but we haven't found the pay and display machines due to it being pitch black.

A bit further round coast from dalbeatie is palnackie and 2 miles further towards auchencairn theres Douganhill with woods on right .used to be a few motorhome parked up there ..... or further around coast to dundrennan theres abbey burn foot next to port mary where its said Mary queen of scots spent her last night on Scottish soil before her beheading . Loads of good. Parking in that area
