Needed to pick up shopping for the weekend away, so decided to try the new ASDA close by where we live in Sheffield.
My wife was working so my son and myself took it upon ourselves to do the shopping, which is something that is usually left to the wife.
The new ASDA has parking underneath the store, and from the road the area looks tall enough to get my motorhome in, however after we had entered on the entry road my son noticed a sign saying height 2.9m. We are 3m high so carried on until we found one that stated 3.1m (I think), anyway we drove in with no problem (except a car with two potty mouth ladies not liking the fact that I wanted to bring the van shopping) .
After a speedy shop (we men know exactly what we want and go get it) we loaded the 'van with shopping and headed out only to find a height board barring our exit. We had to reverse (luckily this was about 8.30pm and car park near empty) and drive round the car park to find a board high enough to get under.
If we had gone to the shop earlier we would likely have had one hell of a problem getting in the the shop and out again without irritating a few drivers.
So why are there different height barriers ASDA????:mad1:
