I'm in the planning stage of fitting a diesel stove in my van, and I also have already a diesel heater. Now if I tap into my main tank, can I use the one supply to feed both appliances. Important to note that each appliance has it's own pump and only one appliance would be used at any time. The supply line from the tank would be split using a Y splitter. All thoughts welcome, even the humourous ones!

Hi Debs, I personally can see no real reason why dual appliances would be restricted by using the same fuel pickup, one thing for sure is to try it and see. The diesel heaters use very little diesel and contrary to popular believe they do not work by pressure of the pump, the pump only draws diesel up from the tank and literally drip feeds diesel into the heater combustion chamber, so the demand for fuel is very little.
