Installing the autoterm 4D and I just wanted to ask if it’s ok to have it installed as pictured?

We have just seen the very small detail about the first meter of ducting having to be straight with no bends.

Is this a safety feature or is it an efficiency thing?

With my Murky build, the eberspacher was fitted in the former drivers doorstep.
Mounting it there required some tight bends, so I used high temperature silicon hose.

I've just checked the current Betty build and I have also used silicon high temperature hose for the bendy route.

It's always better to be safe than sorry.

You may find you have overheating issues with a y joint and ribbed ducting/bends so close to the outlet ...
Especially if it's with a 4kw heater .
