Charging light for Sterling Pro-Budget 20A

My Zig charger failed and I replaced it with a Sterling Pro-Budget. The Zig had an output to the control panel which has a light to show the unit is charging. The Sterling lacks such an output and I suspect if I connect the charging light wire to the 20A output of the charger the LED will blow. Is there a simple solution to wiring the Sterling to light the LED, such as sticking a resistor in the LED circuit?
TIA

I don't think there is an easy way to do this. I assume the control panel LED is a 12v one? Even if id didn't blow when you connected it to the Sterling's charger output it would be on all the time because of the direct connection to the battery.

The Pro-Budget chargers have an 'on' indicator LED and a 'charge' indicator LED, I guess you could remove them and mount them remotely if you were handy with a soldering iron.
