a man with blue lights on his car was posing as a garda (police man) & stopping cars.
he got caught when he stopped a car with 2 plain clothes detectives.
he was banned from driving for 12 months & fined 1,000 euro.

I've noticed several cars and vans using blue in place of orange marker lites looks smart but I wonder if their legal

We once took the yellow cover off the beacon light on top of a van and drove on to a building site we were working on with a blue bag over it for a laugh. It was a dark winters night about 4pm all you could see were guys who were working on the side and a few illegals jumping out windows and back doors.

No they aren’t. ( showing other than a white or orange light to the front….).

All the blue non city buses have blue running led strip lights along the top deck sides here.

Not sure as i see them going down the m way behind me, not been on a bus in over 40 years, to many drunks and fat farting ladies.
