Blinds have lost their recoil

The blinds in the camper have lost their recoil and need a lot of assistance when lowering. Any advice/tricks?

If they are like ours there is a plastic screw at one end that you can turn to tighten the tension spring back up. Do it when the blinds are open.

I sprayed mine with silicon lubricant and it worked a treat.

Sometimes the spring loading slips inside the tube - and you can re-tortion the loading and refit and be back with the same problem very quickly - i had the same problem and used glue in the tube which worked for me - the part could be totally knackered and i only tried glue as it meant replacement otherwise

Oops, I’ve just used the spray for something else and it isn’t silicon, it is Rocol dry ptfe
