Good luck Alf, the back box on my car looks as if it has blown apart but it is just the outer skin and the exhaust isn't blowing so it passes, I will get round to doing it this year
I think

Best of luck, I hate MOts have a phobia, if it aint blowing should be no problems

Bought an old Nissan Micra for my wife when I started chemo, wrapped cider can over hole in silencer, mot tester smeared exhaust paste around the edges of the cider can, and of course it passed !

Thanks All Trooper is now coming up to 13 years old but all is in good working order I will have back box and a bit of pipe changed later this week all being well I would rather get it seen to in my own time rather than it go in some distant part of the NYM and have a bigger problem then. I had oil and filters done last week I can manage a oil change with my dipstick drain thingy as to remove the under engine floor plate is too much for me now.
I will report in due corse tomorrow.

Good luck for tomorrow, should think that it will sail through.

Waiting for a MOT result is like waiting for the result of a S.T.D test. You enjoyed the journey but not the destination! :)

So that's why you didn't answer your phone, yesterday, Ral. Did you pass?
.

From what I've heard, Alf, your motor will sail through..and the tester will offer to buy it.

Same here Alf. Great vans think alike eh? MOT oil and filter and indicator/wiper switch getting replaced with cruise control version as I have a problem with full beam sticking on.🤞. Dropping off first thing tmoro so spent the day washing and polishing her.

Just had a quote for a cruise control fitting and software update, the garage says its only a 2 hour job I cannot make my mind up whether its worthwhile though.

I’m getting the switch supplied and fitted for £190. Wouldn’t have bothered with cruise if the switch hadn’t stuck on full beam.
