It's like blue peter in my house with glue paint screws and all sorts of stuff .. today's task is making thermal screens to put on my back windows using thermal screen cardboard and material.
I'm not creative at all but god loves a trier .. and I'm very trying at times so I'm told

Show us photos of finished articles? We are just finishing the composting toilet, so creative here also! Well, Dave does the work and I contribute ideas and gofer bits!

Oh wow your having a composting toilet ... hmmmm that could be my next task 🤔
I have given up on the screens for today and gone back to the wood. I want the wood to all blend in but it's a mosh mash at the moment !
There never enough hours in the day 🙄

I did this in mine. Cut cardboard to shape & size ,Glue to cardboard thermal silvery stuff same shape obviously , Nipped to the Range bought cheap black blankets to wrap them up and used spray glue & safety pins on the gathered side. Worked a treat . They fit in the window areas 2 sides 2 backs like a glove so no need to have something holding them in place.

Indoor ones... something that I can take on and off whenever.
Also trying to insulate the back a bit better too 😊

You may look silly running around with screens on your back.:lol-053:

I met a chap with same roof lights as my van and his fix may also work with rear windows.
He made a thermo cushion with loop bands at each corner which were held with fixed screw in buttons at each corner on the roof,so easy to just pop of the rubber bands and remove.
Now in sure this will work on rear windows and the black out thermo cushions could be also used on seating through the day.
This will be one of my next to do jobs.

IMG_1527.jpgI gave up making my own screens .. so came up with this ..
I had an old black out curtain but the felcro wasn't doing the job
Amazon sell magnetic hooks that work well and can hold a fair amount of weight and easy to take up and down.
Problem solved

Hippy gave me some for the back windows of my old Snoopy and I found them in the garage yesterday they may fit.

yup, put internal screens on single-glazed windows and it is like a river inside I hear!

then again …..

photo taken a few minutes after removing my home-made silver bubble-foil screens on the ex-minibus side windows that had been on all night ;)
