Well folks...I'm back. So what was Europe in a motorhome like from a virgin Euro stripper. It was excellent. The sat nav worked great , the roads..never encountered a single pot hole. The motorhome scene in Holland was great in they welcomed me, were immaculate and catered for all my needs. Ok the Dutch drivers do drive a bit close but I was plodding along. It was just so easy getting around with only Rotterdam having traffic problems. All the advice on here really did help. I'm totally sold. The only problem I had was I have an external water tank which froze. Any ideas? What I did notice, other than bloody speed cameras was the appalling state of our roads compared to Holland and Germany. . Would I live for months in the motorhome if I could. Yes but in a warmer climate. Oh and as for speeding the fella I met a pas boy are my pictures good, told me that there's no points for speeding in Holland only fines unless your young and he has an app that Dutch drivers update to warn others in real time of police speed traps.

Hi, glad you enjoyed the trip . It should only wet your appetite for more !!
I replied to your original post ( from a fellow Durham resident ) Im currently down the south of Spain near Manilva: Last week I was getting rocked to sleep in a gale near Barnard Castle .It really is a small world .
Get out there and enjoy it !!

DID YOU SAY the TOM TOM . worked OK????? Mine has without fail, taken me all over the place for no reason. To place I did not wish to be. Do not believe them they all lie, all the time.

Re TomTom. Always check it with a paper map. It’s so aggravating when you put in Boston, expecting to go to Lincolnshire, and end up in Massachusetts.
Happens to me allow the time. Bit of a bu**er explaining the extra mileage to the boss. Not to mention the damp truck.lol
